Abstract
The determination of partners in community service activities (PkM) is based on the existence of vacant land that used as a garbage dump. It has an impact on the appearance of unpleasant odours and disturbs the view. The objective of the activity is to provide training in making family-scale compost using the takakura method, and assisting in greening house and yard plants based on homemade compost. The goals of PkM's activities are to improve cleanliness in the community's environment and increase reforestation using homemade compost. The tools and materials used are the general standards of the takakura method. The results of the activity showed that the training using the compost of the takamura method recognized by the community as an easy, simple, and useful practice for greening the environment. It expected that the impact is that the community can apply it at home and in the neighbourhood where they live gradually starting from the micro-scale in the community unit.
